Frequently Asked Questions
Hopefully this will answer any questions you may have, if not please do not hesitate to contact us.
Can I still sleep train if I exclusively breast feed?
Yes!! How you choose to feed your baby is entirely your choice. We work with families who breast feed, bottle feed and combi feed. Whilst we may advise on daily routines we also encourage not to feed 'by the clock', withold feeds or change your feeding method to achieve improved sleep.
Can I continue to co-sleep / room share?
We follow safer sleep guidelines promoted by The Lullaby Trust who recommend sleeping in a separate cot or crib, in the same room, for the first six months. Whilst our bespoke sleep plans are primarily designed to support independent sleep in a child's own room/sleep space, our guidance and support can help families who do prefer to room share or co-sleep. However, we do advise it can take longer to see changes in these cases.
Do you offer sleep consultations for twins?
Absolutely! There is no extra charge for consultations of multiples. However, for siblings of different ages you would need a separate consultation. However, we offer a 50% discounted rate for your second child to make this more affordable for you.
Do you use 'cry it out' methods?
'Cry it out' means different things to different parents. Under no circumstances would we suggest the 'cry it out' method where you leave your baby alone, close the door, with no response from you. All of our methods are responsive and nurturing and together we can choose an approach that you are comfortable with and aligns to your parenting style.
Can you guarantee that my child won't cry?
We cannot guarantee there won't be any tears at all when we are making changes to how your child falls asleep. We do offer a choice of settling methods where you can support your little one to sleep in a way that you are comfortable with.
Can you guarantee it will work?
Unfortunately there are no guarantees as we cannot control how accurately and consistently you are following our advice. However, we have 100% confidence, that if our plan is implemented you will see marked improvements in your child's sleep (and you!)
